My daughter has just been diagnosed by a rheumotiod doctor as having RSD of her left hand following a physical examination. She was told to get physio and to see a pain specialist. There was no mention of a triphasic scan as a diagnostic confrimation. She is experiencing pain in her right hand and it is also, as the left, swollen at times. Her initial problem started as abdominal pain 1.5 yrs ago. Bilateral lower leg pain started 8 months ago which continued up to include both thighs and her pelvis. In March this year, both arms started experiencing tingling, numbness and pain. Her left hand is the biggest problem at the moment with pain, swelling and limited motion. You made reference to total body RSD. The neurologist says that isn't possible but I don't understand why it couldn't be. Has someone made reference to you as this condition exists? Who is the Toronto doctor that diagnosed you? It would be nice to have her seen by someone who actually is familiar with this awful condition and may be able to offer her appropriate help.
